Horses teach me about God...

This afternoon I was riding "Summer" ... and we came to a very rocky patch leading to a covered bridge. The wind was roaring all around us. She was so scared. I could feel her shaking, her ears swiveled, her body a rocket ready to blast off.

Instead of getting down or pushing her I felt moved to just wait. You see, here was this prey animal - ever instinct telling her to flee - and yet she was trusting me enough to at least wait and see.

After 20 minutes I asked her to walk and she went straight through that terrifying covered bridge.I was so proud of her... I laughed out loud... it just came from within me.

I wasn't disappointed that she was scared, I was filled with joy that she trusted.

And I could only think, maybe that's how God feels. When we are scared and every instinct cries - run, hide, flee, isolate, figure it out on your own, turn around -
but instead we stop and we wait, and we trust, in things unseen, in promises yet to be...

I bet God laughs with joy.

PeaceLove + Teespring = A GREAT CAUSE

Hey everyone, we wanted to share an awesome project from one of our brides.

It's a good cause and a great product!

PeaceLove (An organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities reach their full potential) has partnered with Teespring to create a tee with 16 designs created by the PeaceLove community to benefit the kids at Adoption RI. For $20, you reserve a tee shirt and you provide a child the Paint4Peace opportunity at adoption.

Teespring’s catch is that 100 need to be sold within 14 days for the deal to work otherwise the project folds – none are sold and the kids at Adoption RI gets no benefit.

To buy the T-shirts click HERE.

Grey Likes Weddings

The best advertising is word of mouth...

That's why at Boro: Creative Visions don't really do much paid advertising.

That said... we are totally taken with some blogs (each of us has our favorites)
one of mine happens to be Grey Likes Weddings.

Swoon... Grey Likes is Weddings is dynamic,
creative and highlights the work of some truly outstanding vendors.

So when we received an email from Kristen
ASKING us to be part of the Grey collective
we said, "YES!!!"

Here is our add.

Let us know what you think.

Rindge NH, Family Photography

It was my great pleasure to spend time with Harlow and Camden.

They were funny little lights that shone on my blustery day.

Their souls made me warm. Their smiles made me laugh.

Girl Interrupted, Peterborough NH

A few days ago Jacob told me that the Holy Spirit works through interruption.

On an academic level I understood what he was talking about,
but I have to admit I wasn't sure I wanted it to happen to me.

(At least not any time soon. I have things to do.)

This morning I had my day pretty much planned out:

Get Trace ready for school.
Pick up Owen for carpooling.
Drive both boys to school.
Go to Nashua for an appointment.
Make some phone calls.
Answer some emails.
Teach a photography lesson.
Help Trace with homework.

Really full.
Super busy.

Then a friend called and asked if she could take me up on an offer I'd made days before.

Was I possibly free to take her son to story hour?

(Long pause here.)

I was.

I was.

So today I had the privilege to hang out with Connor.

We went to story hour.
We went to McDonalds.
We cleaned out my car.
We sang in the car.
We went to the Well School and played on the playground.

Not only did we get everything done on my list - we actually did MORE!

I was blessed.

I was so blessed to be interrupted.

(I have since learned that Jacob heard about the interruption of the Holy Spirit from Jeff who heard it from Christine Cain. I watched THIS 26 minute video about her ... it was amazing! Totally worth interrupting your evening to watch. Really.)
