Christina and David's Wedding

The rain held off for David and Christina's special day. What a blessing. David spoke his vows but a sign language expert translated for Christina, it was beautiful to see the interplay of movements and words.

The field was full of wild flowers, the food - smoked shell fish, sword fish, ice-cold lemonade and cannoli from Boston's North End - was exquisite.

There were only about 50 guests, so the affair was intimate and touching.

These are just some of the pictures from that day... some of my favorites!

Lady Slipper

I noticed this beautiful flower in the town near my home while I was driving to pick my son up from preschool. Lady's Slippers are a very rare orchid found in New England. They are difficult to transplant so the best practice is to leave them be and simply enjoy them when you find them.

Bald is Beautiful

This was a wonderful event that took place in down town Keene. Men and women paid money to have their heads shaved in honor and to support cancer patients.

Strolling of the Heifers

Each year thousands of people gather in Brattleboro, VT to watch as young people "stroll the heifers" leading young cows down main street.

Home Coming Welcome

This young man returned home to a parade in his honor, he will return to Iraq in six months but for now he is well loved and respected.
