Heart Gallery

Each year the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Inc.
hosts some very special photography exhibits. 

The images are all of children;
children who have been waiting at least a year to find a family to call their own. 

The goal of the Heart Gallery is to raise awareness about adoption from foster care, and to find adoptive homes for more than 600 Massachusetts' children who wait.


There are nearly 500,000children in foster care in the United States.
Over 250,000 will never return home.
Over 123,000 need adoptive homes right now.
More than 29,000 aged out of foster care in 2008, at age 18 without anyone, to live on their own, unprepared and unsupported.

Since its inception in 2005, over 200 children in Massachusetts have been photographed. The images are displayed across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. 

This week I had the honor of volunteering my camera, but even more, I had the privilege of meeting a wonderful person.
