Awesome (Green) - Video - "Save the Date!"

I love this video for SOOOO many reasons -  but here are three:

First, Beth and Rob are super cool - obviously :)

Second, how fun is it to see someone be creative with something I created... (click HERE to view their engagement session images)... Well, it's mind blowing... it's amazing...

Third, it's green. Beth and Rob harmed no trees in the making of this video :)

I love it.

I really really love it.

I mean I REALLY REALLY love it :)

Remember that part in Despicable Me - where the little girl gets the pink pony and is so excited she screams: "It's so FLUFFY!!!" ?

I feel that way... "IT'S SO COOL!"

Thanksgiving...

Today, as I prepare for another week of work - a week of school, of teaching, phone calls and emails - and as I reflect on the holiday season...

I cannot help but feel supremely thankful.

Thankful for friends (in Oregon, Boston, New Jersey, Kansas, and Rindge), for family (especially my siblings - you guys inspire me daily), for food (ahhhh....  cheesecake), for a job I love, a husband who is patient (and smokn' hot), a son (watching you learn to read has been the greatest thrill of my life), the smell of horses, my dog (truly my bff), the beach (nothing beats a beach walk in winter) and (of course) The New Yorker Magazine.

I feel thankful and undeserving and wonderful and ... alive.

"The Pilgrims made seven times more graves than huts.  No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving."

Samantha and Ben - A Sneak Peak

My goal is not simply to make beautiful images.

Instead, I want to make meaningful images.

Because, with all my soul, I believe meaningful images of people in love - will always be beautiful.

In order to make meaningful images I need to know what's important to my couples...

What do they like? How did they fall in love? How do they hold hands?

And so, we started our shoot at Sam and Ben's apartment... we talked, road the T, discussed books and wandered through Harvard Square. In the process I learned some things:

He loves The New Yorker, wine, Spanish, eating (especially Indian food and Burdick's hot chocolate).

She loves wine, dogs, reading, bright colors,
brussels sprouts (roasted not steamed) and great shoes pointy-toed.

They light up when they are together.

Especially when Ben kisses Sam's neck.

When he kisses her ... and she smiles - my goal is achieved.

A Couple in Love... Check.
A Meaningful Image... Check.

Beautiful. Check.
