How Photographers have fun - Part 2!

Here was my idea: Get together with a hair dresser and make-up artist, borrow some dresses from a local wedding store, collect a few cool props, track down some models, and do a wedding photo shoot.

As a photographer I was thrilled with this idea because I could try out different poses and editing techniques - without any stress or pressure... Just for fun!!!

The day was FABULOUS - we had two "brides" and groom, and a flower girl.

This post will includes photos of Tracey - WOW - doesn't she look AMAZING!!

In a few days I will post the photos of the flower girl - they are equally stunning.

Margaret & Andy - Married!

Margaret and Andy were married last weekend at the First Baptist Church in Amherst, MA. I am a big advocate for doing your wedding YOUR way! And often this means non-traditional. But at this wedding I was reminded that the traditional can be incredibly moving.

The message during Margaret and Andy's ceremony was exceptionally touching because this is the same church Margaret grew up in.  Everyone, including the pastor, had known her since she a very small child. And now here they were celebrating her marriage - sigh - it was traditional and beautiful!

The reception was at Mt. Holyoke College, where Margaret's mom was an alum.

You could not ask for a prettier backdrop for photos!

Some of the people in these photos may look familiar - that's because last summer I photographed the wedding of Margaret's sister Joy!

Weddings are so much fun and you become really close with the bride and groom (and often guests and family), but often you don't see each other again ... sad. That's why it was wonderful to not only get to see, but work with Joy and Margaret's families again.

In addition to a tasty buffet with salmon and an assortment of salads, lovely grounds and a touching message, Andy and Margaret surprised everyone by doing a tango for their first dance! It was AWESOME!
